Manual sync checks for changes on both phones. If both copies changed, it stops so you can back them up before choosing which to keep. Categories, income, transactions, and savings sync; appearance and PIN stay per-device.
If a sync ever goes the wrong direction, force it explicitly instead:

Removes every transaction (manual, quick-add, and imported) but keeps your categories, limits, income streams, and savings goal. Useful when re-testing an import — not something you need monthly.
